Preparation
Be in a state of purity by performing wudu, renewing it if possible.
Dress respectfully in clean, modest clothing with buttons closed and head covered. Adults must cover their heads, though small children are allowed some flexibility to nurture love for ziyarah.
Apply 'ittar (perfume) as a sign of reverence.
Make tawbah to purify the heart from sins and distractions before presenting yourself. Prepare with adab, knowing you stand in the court of the Prophet ﷺand through him in Allah's Court.
During Ziyarah
Show respect when the Tabarukaat (Blessed Trusts) arrive — stand rather than remain seated.
Approach calmly without rushing or pushing. Enter from the right, move leftwards, and when in front of the Blessed Trusts, face the Qibla.
Stand with humility, lower your gaze, fold hands respectfully, and remain calm.
Never turn your back towards the Tabarukaat while standing, during ziyarah, or afterwards.
Recite abundant salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ.
Maintain silence, avoiding unnecessary talk, laughter, or distraction.
Refrain from photos or videos. “Ziyarah requires presence, not recording. Phones are used in all sorts of places and sacred images risk being seen without wudu or adab.”
Make du'a, presenting your needs with humility before the Messenger ﷺ.
Proofs from Hadith and Sahaba
Healing through blessed hair
Hadrat Umm Salamah رضي الله عنها kept hairs of the Prophet ﷺ in a silver container; people would dip them in water and drink for cure.

Victory through blessed hair
Hadrat Khalid ibn Walid رضي الله عنه stated: “I was given victory in every battle I fought because of the blessed hair of the Messenger ﷺwhich I carried in my cap.”

Barakah from wudu water
Companions almost fought over leftover water from the Prophet's ﷺ wudu, wiping it on themselves.

Cure from his cloak
Hadrat Asma bint Abi Bakr رضي الله عنها said: “This is the cloak of the Messenger ﷺ. We used to wash it and give the water to the sick so they may be cured.”

These narrations establish that the Blessed Trusts are a means of barakah and acceptance of du'a.
Departing
Move further left when leaving, stepping sideways with respect.
Never turn your back towards the Blessed Trusts.
Keep gratitude in your heart, thanking Allah for the honour of ziyarah.
Contemplation
Ziyarah of the Blessed Trusts represents great honour and closeness, reminding the servant of connection to the Best of Creation ﷺ.
Imam Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti in al-Khasa'is al-Kubra recorded how Companions sought barakah through the blessed hair, sweat, and cloak of the Prophet ﷺ.
Imam Ahmad Rida Khan explained in his fatawa that wherever a part of the Prophet ﷺ is present, it should be regarded with the same adab as his noble presence.
The ziyarah of the Tabarukaat requires humility, silence, and reverence, as if standing before him ﷺin Madinah — a place where du'a is accepted.
