About Ehtram
احترام — Love, Reverence & Respect
Our Purpose
Ehtram.org's primary goal is to encourage and educate anyone who wants to try and regain and hold on to the traditional wisdom that is being lost from our hearts, minds, and literature. It also offers support, education, materials, and information awareness.
Sadly, future generations will suffer greatly if this essential knowledge of Islam's basic levels of respect, love, and reverence for the holy relics is lost. Thus, it is crucial that we, as the Ummah, revive this teaching and the practises of the Sahaba Ikram, the pious predecessors, and the saints.
Secondly, to offer whatever assistance and practical support is available to those who have been chosen to serve as curators or custodians of these precious Islamic relics (Tabarukaat).
What is Ehtram?
Ehtram (respect / احترام), Adab (آداب), Veneration (عزت) — these come to mind when we think of the Holy Ka'bah, the Blessed Green Dome of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, when we think of the Blessed Qur'an and even our parents (may Allah preserve them).
Ehtram in its essence, is the most basic factor of being a human being — to respect one another, to respect another's property, to respect another's rights and even opinions, even if we do not agree with them.
For a Muslim, Ehtram is especially important when the subject is our religion, religious texts, or religious artifacts (items associated with the Prophets or pious predecessors).
A key point and basis of true love, as required by Allah Almighty, can be found in the way we interact with the Holy Tabarukaat (relics) of the Holy Prophet ﷺ. The degree of Ehtram, Adab, and Veneration that is to be taken into account and acted upon must be of the highest degree — as it would be for the Blessed Qur'an and the Holy Ka'bah.
A Nonprofit Initiative
Ehtram is a nonprofit initiative. All items, implements, tools, and materials are provided free of cost wherever possible to custodians and those serving the Holy Relics.
We do not engage in commercial activity with sacred items. Our sole purpose is to serve the Ummah by ensuring the Holy Relics are cared for with the highest levels of reverence and respect.
